Paula Landry, MBA is a film business and media-marketing consultant, crafting business & marketing plans, and producing branded videos for Fortune 500 companies, non-profit companies and colleges. Ms. Landry teaches entrepreneurship and the film and media business to MBA students at The Metropolitan College of New York, in New York City. She has conducted film and television library valuations in association with G&H Media for the Truman Capote Estate, Cinema 7 and the Australian Government. She conducts film business seminars at SVA in NYC, the Park Film School at Ithaca College. Her eclectic career in media forms the foundation for a multi-media perspective to provide marketing solutions across a spectrum of media channels.
She is the author of Scheduling and Budgeting Your Film, A Panic-Free Guide (Focal Press, 2nd edition 2017), and is a co-author of This Business of Film, (Random House, 2nd edition 2017) with Stephen R. Greenwald and co-author of Sell Your Screenplay in 30 Days, With New Media, with Marilyn Horowitz. Her articles have been featured in Script Magazine, and MovieMaker Magazine’s Complete Guide To Making Movies.
Recent projects include: forming a new film business model and producing a proof of concept in the form of the feature film and play A Cat’s Tale, producing apps & creating corporate branding campaigns for Christie’s, Jumping Pages apps, Forbes Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Panasonic, LG, KPMG, ToysRUs, as well as numerous political campaigns. She has created video and commercial projects for Details Magazine, Deutsche Bank, Pearson Television, The Odyssey Channel, Loosely Translated Productions, Nintendo, City Lights, The Game Show Channel, Tribe Pictures, FIT TV, The American Health and Fitness Show and the MPA.
Production credits include A Cat’s Tale, Angel Passing, Songs for Sophia, The Second Execution of Romell Broom (dir. Michael Verhoeven), Façade and Legacy, S.O.S., Asylum Seekers, Little Pink Dress, and Wake Up In New York. Ms. Landry is an active member of NYWIFT, IFP, and AFM. Films she has worked on have debuted at the Sundance Festival, AMFEST, winning awards from Columbia Pictures Screen Gems, The Time Warner Showtime Audience Awards, and the Grand Jury Award at the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival.
Offering courses in film production, production management, media marketing, writing a business plan and entrepreneurship, Landry teaches at NYU, SVA, and is a professor to MBA media management students at Wagner College and The Metropolitan College of New York in NYC, and conducts seminars in film/media business around the world, including Regents College in London, Haifa Film Festival in Israel, the Cannes Film Festival and MTV Paris.
